Alertus Feedback Privacy Principles
At Alertus, we respect the privacy of our clients and their customers. Our Alertus Feedback Policy governs the collection, use, retention, and security of data gathered from Alertus respondents. We do not disclose any personally identifiable data about respondents to third parties, unless you opt-in, except as required by law or legal process. "Personally identifiable information" means data that individually identifies you, such as your name, address, and email address or social security number. “Opt-in” means data, such as your email address, that you divulge with the explicit knowledge that it will be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
 
Information Collectors' Privacy Policies
All of our clients (Information Collectors) are responsible for the proper use of data about their customers that is collected through Alertus, including personally identifiable information ("Respondent Data"). As a condition of using Alertus's services, Information Collectors agree to use Respondent Data in a responsible manner. Information Collectors are required to keep confidential all non opt-in personally identifiable information obtained through Alertus, and agree not to sell, rent, share or use the Respondent Data for unsolicited marketing purposes. What Kind Of Data Does Alertus Collect?
Alertus collects a wide range of data about respondents, depending on the information needs of the Information Collectors. Generally, Alertus may request certain personally identifiable information, financial information, demographic information and respondents' specific opinions about a variety of goods and services, among other things. Such data is voluntarily provided and the respondent may decline to answer any question.
 
Alertus' Use Of Cookies
Alertus makes all reasonable efforts to prevent respondents from participating in the same Alertus multiple times. To accomplish this, Alertus uses cookies, which are very small data files that our web site stores on a visitor's web browser to remind the site about the visitor the next time they visit the site. Alertus does not store confidential or sensitive information in cookies. Alertus uses cookies to ensure Alertus respondents cannot ballot-stuff a study and can only participate in a study once. Cookies cannot be used to capture a respondent's e-mail address, obtain data from their hard drive or gain confidential or sensitive information about them. Additionally, cookies cannot be read by a web site other than the one that sets the cookie.
 
Alertus' Use Of IP Addresses
Alertus logs Internet Protocol addresses for systems administration purposes. We also log IP addresses to track a user's session so that we know which parts of our site users visit. , IP addresses which are linked to study responses for our customers are used solely to ensure the accuracy of our Alertus data.
 
What Does Alertus Do With Data Provided By The Respondent?
Alertus reports information gathered by Alertus to the Information Collectors, which may include personally identifiable information, demographic information, etc. Alertus does not disclose a respondent's non opt-in personally identifiable information to any clients other than the contracting Information Collector.
 
Alertus Strives To Maintain The Accuracy Of Respondent Data
We have implemented internal controls and procedures designed to keep and report Respondent Data as accurately and completely as possible. In order to correct or update any information, simply send an email to info@Alertus.com. We respond promptly when a respondent tells us his or her information is not accurate.
 
Alertus Respects Your Solicitation Preference
We honor respondents' requests to be excluded from marketing solicitations. To be removed from our solicitations mailing list, simply send an email to info@Alertus.com. Alertus Employees Are Responsible For Client Information Protection We limit employee access to personally identifiable information about respondents to those employees with a legitimate business need for the information. We have policies, procedures, employee orientation, and communication programs designed for the protection of Respondent Data.
 
Alertus Provides Security Safeguards To Protect Respondent Information
We use advanced technology and information management techniques to implement security, audit, and control programs designed to protect Respondent Data. In addition, we protect the privacy of information sent to and from our web sites and use specific controls designed to identify and authenticate all our online clients and prevent and detect unauthorized access to our web sites.
