Mike Ward, Director of Information Technology at Anderson Hospital, has over 20 years of healthcare IT experience. Mike manages all aspects of the hospital’s technical infrastructure, including emergency communications. Mike led the way with a presentation on the importance of having an emergency communications plan. He also offered insight on how he got his plan in place at Anderson Hospital.

Daniel Anderson, Emergency Management Manager at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, has been a member of the medical center since 2010. Since then, he has enhanced the Security Department and even developed new exercises for the emergency plans. Daniel brought his wealth of knowledge to the webinar to talk about using desktop notifications to reach his staff.
Using Desktop Notification to Reach Staff

Bret Martin, Director of Fire, Life Safety, and Utilities at Carolinas HealthCare System, is a 25-year veteran in assessing risk and addressing issues of safety. Bret is also a registered Fire Protection Engineer in the State of North Carolina. Bret joined the webinar to give his take on integrating the facility fire panel with the Alertus system and how it’s improved the emergency notification within his hospital.
